A voice of pure passion and soul.

Adele (Laurie Blue Adkins) is one of my favourite female artist I have been following her since her debut single 'Hometown Glory'. Her songs truly relate to me and over the years has become the soundtrack to my life. From hearing her in shops, adverts and on my own mp3 on the bus. After being the only artist (apart from the beatles in 1964) to have 2 albums and 2 singles in the top 5 from the top 4o she has certainly left a good name for herself.

People now mostly know Adele from her latest performance at 'The Brits' which was simply magical. This is the video below.

Marilyn Monroe...Not so priceless :(

One of the biggest stars Marilyn Monroe has been bought!..Well her image rights by Jamie Salter the multi-millionaire.

Being a big fan of Marilyn' it kinda upset me a little but this means her legacy may continue because there is already talk of her being animated in future films. Hopefully their 're-invented animated version of her will be just as good and even though its almost five decades since her death she will live on.

Lady GaGa...I'm Not Bluffin..

Lady Gaga has obviously made a huge influence on the music and fashion world exploring genres and tastes other artists cant even imagine doing. So its only natural she would make an appearance in my blog. It was also announced that she will be releasing some tracks of her new album during Paris fashion week (feb 11) so we can look forward to hearing some of her new sell-out tunes soon.

What's The Point?

In the fashion world detail is everything. The smallest change could become the biggest influence, and stir the biggest reaction.

Detail, is something that one of my favourite artists definitely understands.

Georges seurats's is a famous French painter known for his incredible use of detailing and the use of the 'pointillism' technique. His attention to detail has made him famous around the world and his most famous piece of art work 'Sunday afternoon on the island of la grande jatte' is his best known and most recognisable piece. With the 'pointillism' technique it is possible to create illusions and rely on the tricks of the eye to really bring the art to life.

'Fashin clashin'

An add campaign for 'Lacoste', featuring in magazines such as 'Elle' and 'Company'. It definitely grabs your attention, by its bold clashing colours and is also great for a project I'm doing on festival wear.
